Funding

The capital cost of building Koiyaki Guiding School and the associated Wilderness Camp have been largely funded by the EU through the Community Development Trust Fund and Tourism Trust Fund of the EU, together with contributions from the Maasai Community, Tusk Trust (a UK-based Charity), Campfire Conservation and many private donors.

Ron Beaton, who has been a safari operator for many years and who has helped turn key some of the new conservancies in the Masai Mara ecosystem is one of the prime mover in bringing this exciting project to fruition.
